What’s in Royce’s KONG: Canine Calzone Dog Treat

Royce was adopted from Miami Dade Animal Services in early May of 2018. I’d say he was one lucky dog (though I’m a bit biased), because little did he know, Royce was being adopted by me into the pet-loving Chewy team. The dog treat on top of the pup-friendly cupcake is that his dog dad, Charlie, is a professional chef who has considerable experience making gourmet dog treats.

Shortly after adopting our adorable pup, we quickly realized that he was obsessed with chewing—so much so that when he was done chewing on the plush toys in our home, he would move on to our cherished items—things like the remote control or our socks. This is how our family become devoted to KONG interactive toys. We have about three in our house as of today.

To keep things interesting, we often craft fancy recipes for Royce to gnaw on so he can get a taste of his dad’s cooking. Thanks to these gourmet KONG-stuffer recipes, Royce has given up his hobby of chewing on our stuff in favor of these new delicious treats.

Royce loves our recipes so much that we decided to share a few of our summer-themed recipes with the Chewy community. So, for the month of July, we’re bringing you three chef- and vet-approved easy KONG recipes that you can make in your own kitchen. We hope your pups love them just as much!
