It didn’t take long for the ad from FurKids—a rescue that runs no-kill animal adoption centers and shelters in Georgia—to go viral, and with good reason. It’s hilarious and it’s got cute kitties: a recipe for Internet success.
The video plays like a cheesy informercial, complete with the “host” assuring a great deal (adoptions!) on an incredible product (in this case, kitties of all shapes, ages, and colors).
The FurKids commercial—which, to date, has over 1.3 million views and counting—is two-and-a-half minutes of cute cats and funny one-liners (“All of our cats are self-cleaning…and cleaning…and cleaning…and cleaning…”) bound to make any animal lover smile.
Heck, there’s even a theme song towards the end. The commercial is goofy, sure, but it’s all for a good cause: finding cats their forever loving homes.
