Recipe for Success

Chef’s note: Adjust as needed for different KONG sizes.

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup dog kibble
  • ½ cup applesauce
  • KONG Bacon and Cheese Easy Treat

Kitchenware:

  • KONG Classic
  • Spoon

Steps:

  1. Spread Bacon and Cheese Easy Treat in the bottom of the KONG Classic.
  2. Mix kibble and applesauce together and stuff into the KONG.
  3. Top it off with more Easy Treat.

Fido’s Farmhouse Feast

Chef’s note: This recipe will fill several KONG dog toys depending on the size of the KONG.

 Ingredients:

  • 4-5 whole carrots
  • 1 cup of pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened dried cranberries
  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 1 cup baby spinach
  • KONG Peanut Butter Easy Treat

Kitchenware:

  • KONG Classic
  • Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Knife
  • Peeler and/or grater

Steps:

  1. Chop the spinach and peel and grate the carrots.
  2. Mix the grated carrots, chopped spinach, pumpkin puree, dried cranberries and applesauce in a bowl.
  3. Spoon the mixture into the KONG Classic, splitting the mixture between KONG dog toys if needed.
  4. Seal the hole with a layer of KONG Peanut Butter Easy Treat.
  5. Freeze the KONG(s).

Chicken Liver Dinner for the Win

KONG DIY recipe

 Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1/2 finely diced or grated apple without core
  • ¼ cup Honest Kitchen Force or Revel
  • ¼ cup packed mashed chickpeas
  • KONG Sweet Potato Stuff’N
  • 1 tablespoon KONG Liver Easy Treat

Kitchenware:

  • KONG Classic
  • Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Knife
  • Measuring cups

Steps:

  1. Mix the Honest Kitchen with the water and stir.
  2. Finely dice the apple. Drain and mash the chickpeas (drain liquid from canned chickpeas).
  3. Mix all ingredients together except for the KONG Stuff’N.
  4. Spoon the mixture into the KONG Classic.
  5. Seal the end with KONG Sweet Potato Stuff’N.
  6. Freeze the KONG and serve up an amazing chicken dinner.

Blue Ribbon (or Best in Show) Berry Blitz Surprise

Strawberry kong treat

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup unsweetened dried cranberries
  • ¼ cup blueberries
  • 1/8 cup chopped strawberries
  • 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 1-2 large (or 3-4 small) KONG Peanut Butter Snacks

Kitchenware:

  • KONG Classic
  • Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Knife
  • Measuring cup
  • Measuring spoons

Steps:

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl except for the KONG Snack(s).
  2. Spoon the mixture into the KONG Classic.
  3. Stuff KONG Peanut Butter Snacks into the middle of the KONG.
  4. Freeze the KONG for an ice cold treat with a surprise treat in the middle!

Orange You Hungry?

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup natural, unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 whole carrots
  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin
  • KONG Sweet Potato Stuff’N

Kitchenware:

  • KONG Classic
  • Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Knife
  • Peeler and/or grater
  • Measuring cup

Steps:

  1. Peel and grate the carrots.
  2. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl except for the KONG Stuff’N.
  3. Spoon the mixture into the KONG Classic.
  4. Seal the large hole with a squeeze of the Stuff’N.
  5. Freeze the KONG for a delicious orange snack!

Banana Peanut Butter Pie

Ingredients:

  • 3 large (or 5 small) KONG Peanut Butter Snacks
  • ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 mashed banana
  • KONG Peanut Butter Easy Treat
  • 1 teaspoon honey

Kitchenware:

  • KONG Classic
  • Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Fork
  • Measuring cup
  • Measuring spoons

Steps:

  1. Use a fork to mash the banana.
  2. Crush the KONG Peanut Butter Snacks.
  3. Mix all ingredients together, including 2 tablespoons of the KONG Peanut Butter Easy Treat.
  4. Spoon the mixture into the KONG Classic.
  5. Seal the large hole with an extra squeeze of the Easy Treat.
  6. Freeze the KONG so your pup can enjoy a slice of peanut butter pie.
