At Chewy, our customers mean everything to us and hold a special place in our hearts.
The holidays are a perfect time to recognize what you’re grateful for in life. For us, it’s the relationship we have with our customers. Whether we are laughing or crying with them, connecting with our customers is really what it’s all about.
We sat down with a few customer service representatives who are here around the clock, and asked them to share their unique Chewy story. This is what they had to say.
Do you have any pets?
Taina: I have a big household so don’t judge me.
Errin (holds up photo of a rabbit): This is Thumper.
Taina: I have two pet rats now. I have two dogs …
Kayli: I have a dog named Finley and I have a cat named Flush.
Taina: … and I have two cats as well.
What’s your most memorable customer experience?
Derek: I had a customer who used to go to the Florida Keys every weekend with his army buddies and they’d go to Kermit’s Key Lime Pies. He called us, and he had just mentioned that he hadn’t had it in 40 years, so we overnighted one to him! I’ve never heard somebody cry so hard, laugh so hard and be so happy all at the same time.
Steven: There was a customer who had her Chewy order left at the lobby of the condominium that she stays at. We called up a pizza place and we were like, “Hey, we want to order a pizza, but can you also take this package of dog food up to the person that you’re bringing it to?” And they were like, “Yeeeeeah!”
Raoul: One, I guess, would be “over and snout.”
Derek: My favorite pun would definitely be “su-paw-model,” because they’re all super models!
If you could describe Chewy in two words, what would they be?
Errin: So, I would say, in two words, Chewy is fur-bulous and fetch.
Kayli: Fun and unmatched.
Taina: Can I put two words together? Paw-some!
What makes working at Chewy so special?
Kayli: We have the best customers in the world and I wouldn’t change a thing.
Taina: I just love my job!
